We provide services for searching, restoring and obtaining duplicate Birth Certificates from territorial bodies of the Civil Registry Office of Russia for persons who were born on the territory of Russia or within the borders of the former RSFSR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Part 2 of Article 9 of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation No. 143-FZ of 15.11.1997 “On Acts of Civil Status”, a duplicate Birth Certificate is issued:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • to the person in respect of whom the birth certificate was drawn up;<\/li>
  • to relatives of the deceased person if there is evidence of kinship;<\/li>
  • to parents of a minor;<\/li>
  • to guardians of persons recognized as incompetent;<\/li>
  • to any other person, subject to the presence of a notarized power of attorney from the above persons<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    \u00a0It should be noted that Federal Law of the Russian Federation No. 143-FZ of 15.11.1997 “On acts of civil status” does not provide for the issuance to citizens of copies of records of acts of civil status from the book of acts of civil status (primary source).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    What is a Birth Certificate?<\/h4><\/div>

    A Birth Certificate is an official document issued by the Russian Civil Registry Office upon the birth of a child on the territory of Russia or on the territory of the former RSFSR.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    What information is on a Birth Certificate?<\/h4><\/div>

    The birth certificate contains information about the child’s surname, first name and patronymic, date and place of birth, the surname, first name and patronymic, date of birth and citizenship of his parents and their nationality (the nationality of the parents is indicated at the parents’ discretion). The data indicated in the birth certificate is taken from the child’s birth record.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    What is a primary Birth Certificate?<\/h4><\/div>

    A primary Birth Certificate is a birth certificate of a child issued by the Russian Civil Registry Office for the first time immediately after the child\u2019s birth.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    What is a Duplicate Birth Certificate?<\/h4><\/div>

    A duplicate Birth Certificate for a child is a birth certificate that is issued by the Russian Civil Registry Office in the event of loss or wear of the original birth certificate.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    A birth certificate (duplicate birth certificate) is reissued in case of loss, deterioration or damage to the original (primary) birth certificate.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Who can get a Re-issued Birth Certificate (Duplicate Birth Certificate)??<\/h4><\/div>

    According to the current legislation of the Russian Federation, a duplicate birth certificate may be issued to the person in respect of whom the birth record was made, to the parents of a child who has not reached the age of majority, as well as to a relative of the deceased if the person in respect of whom the civil status record was previously made has died, or to a representative of all of the above persons under a notarized power of attorney.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    It is possible to make changes to the birth certificate and subsequently obtain a duplicate of the Birth Certificate with the correct data, provided that there is sufficient evidence that the birth certificate was drawn up incorrectly.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    What to do if there are discrepancies between the Birth Certificate of a deceased relative and other documents?<\/h4><\/div>

    Corrections and changes to a civil status record previously drawn up in relation to a deceased person are made upon the application of a relative of the deceased or another interested person.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    What are Note Birth Record issued for?<\/h4><\/div>

    The Note Birth Record can confirm the legal fact of birth, marriage, divorce, adoption, establishment of paternity, change of first name, last name, patronymic, etc.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Can the relatives of the person for whom the birth record was made obtain a Re-issued Birth Certificate (Duplicate Birth Certificate)?<\/h4><\/div>
